Flower Crown Day 2025 will be February 28!

Flower Crown Day is run through the

dsvirtualbar comm, but is open to all fandoms. Although there is an AO3 collection, you're free to post your works anywhere; on February 28, I'll make a post on the dsvb comm for folks to comment with links to their works.

All mediums, lengths/sizes, etc, are allowed; the only requirements are that your work must be in some way flora-themed and must comply with dsvb comm rules (eg, no bashing, tag appropriately).

Sign ups for the 16th annual due South/Canadian Six Degrees Big Bang are coming soon! The Big Bang celebrates fic in the 20k range, or equivalent art, podfic, vids or craft of any type.

So, in honour of dS turning 30 this year, I decided to do a little something. Namely, a celebration fest.

So what is 30 Below?

On April 23rd, 1994, a certain television movie aired in Canada. The rest is 30 years of amazing, rich and lovely history — still going in 2024.

30 below is a fest to celebrate this anniversary, run byflownwrong. Whether you’ve been here from the get-go or just joining the fun — this fest is for you. Let’s spread the love for the wonder that is due South!

I have arranged for due South and for Canadian Six Degrees to be in the "Bring Back the Porn" tagset and I'm hoping to see some dSC6D participation there on September 1st.

The Challenge: on September 1st, post something porny to your journal or favorite archive. This can be fic, art, icons, meta, your favorite porny recs, a dirty limerick, etc cetera. Then share that porniness by posting links at "Bring Back the Porn" on DW. Note that this fest only collects links: you must host your porny contribution elsewhere and put just the link on the fest page.

All varieties of porn from merely implied to very explicit, from vanilla to kinky, anything goes as long as there is some sort of smut factor.

The current three mods of due South Seekrit Santa are each having a very busy Summer and is continuing to be busy as we get closer to the time for dSSS to start. We are looking for one or two new mods to take over the celebration from us, with one or two of us staying on in a purely consultant-type rule. If we don't receive any volunteers, there's a very good chance that there will not be a fest this year.
