30 Below: Shippy Week (March 25 - April 1)

With many apologies, I'm bringing you a very belated reminder about this week's theme. I'm afraid RL has got the better of me this time, but I hope some of you might still wanna do something! As usual, there are no deadlines and no pressure.

This week's goal is to get your shipping goggles on.

Some things you can do:

• do a throwback and write a ship manifesto
• share your headcanons and favourite tropes
• relearn the forgotten art of a fanmix
• rarepairs? crack ships? unconventional faves? unleash 'em!

Prompts are optional, and you can interpret the theme however you see fit. Wanna do something else this week or do the shipping thing later? No worries! The AO3 collection is open indefinitely and there are no hard deadlines for participation.

For this week in the due South 30th Anniversary "30 Below Fest": headcanons. I'm sharing two of my Ray Kowalski headcanons here.

There are Kowalskis in my RL family and those Kowalskis are Jewish, so I headcanon that there are Jewish Kowalskis in RayK's family.

If you want to know my headcanon for how it is that Chicagoan Ray Kowalski can go undercover in Chicago as Ray Vecchio without any Chicagoans recognizing him as Ray Kowalski from an earlier life, you will find that in feroxargentea's 2019 dSC6D Big Bang fic "Long Way Down" on AO3. (BTW, this is one of my fave fics for about a bazillion reasons, the headcanon aspect being just one of those reasons.)

Note: for reasons that don't need exploring at this juncture, these two headcanons exist in separate 'verses.

As someone whose last name translates to Kowalska in Polish and also someone with Jewish roots, I'm down for your headcanon :D
