Name of the Game Chat

The Name of the Game Chat, in which many squeeing fangirls will dissect each and every millisecond of what has become Callum Keith Rennie's most famous interview, is set to take place on Saturday 18th November (or Sunday 19th November in Australia/New Zealand) starting at 7am Melbourne time. Go here to work out your nearest time zone.

The chat will take place in an AIM chat room managed through Trillian. Those of you who have participated in previous due South chats will already be familiar with Trillian, but for newbies, Trillian is a stand-alone chat client that you can download, and that supports AIM, ICQ, MSN, and IRC. If you don't have a AIM account, it's fairly easy to register for one through Trillian.

If you intend to take part in the chat, please leave a comment here with your AIM user name so I can issue invitations into the chat room. I'll open the nameofthegame chat room at about 6.45am Melbourne time (yes, only for CKR would I get up that early on a Sunday Morning!) and start issuing invitations then. If you're a late-comer, just email me and I'll invite you in.

The interview runs for just over twenty minutes, but from past experience I know that by the time we wait for late-comers, overcome technical difficulties and make general fanish chit-chat we'll probably be at it for at least an hour or more. And afterwards, if we feel like it, we could even take in an episode or two of DS!

There is a HUGE college football rivalry going on at that time. Ohio State vs Michigan and if you are from the Midwest USA you know what that means... It means my spouse will be glued to the television. So I can sneak away to chat and he won't even notice ; )
