New RayK/Fraser Zine Available
Aug. 19th, 2004 10:50 amdevious developments press is pleased to announce
"Starved" by Grey, a Due South RayK/Fraser '/' novel. Full-sized, 168 page fanzine from ddp. Colour cover (front and back) and 1 colour inside art and 1 b/w inside art by Cat's Meow Creative Arts. Grey ’s first all romance novel! There is some angst, but it’s mostly romance. If you’re into loving first time stories, this novel will fit the bill.
Summary: Ray is mandated to attend a stress management and team-building seminar and he takes Fraser with him. Both are surprised by what they learn.
Excerpt from "Starved":
Fraser closed the door behind him and motioned to a seat by the desk. "I
hope you've been well, Ray."
"I've been okay. You?"
"As well as can be expected."
"What's that mean, as well as can be expected?"
Instead of explaining, Fraser asked, "May I take your coat?" Ray shrugged
off his jacket and handed it over. "Have a seat, Ray. I've taken the
liberty of making some fresh coffee. Would you like some?"
Surprised, Ray settled into the chair. Dief sniffed at his leg and said
hello in his own wolfie way by nosing his crotch. Ray pushed him away as he
ruffled the thick fur. "You've got coffee?"
"Inspector Thatcher said you'd be dropping by this evening to make
arrangements for the trip. With the weather as it is, I thought you might
appreciate something hot to drink."
Ray scratched his head in confusion, wondering what was up. "You made
coffee just for me?"
"Yes, Ray, I made coffee just for you. Would you like some?"
"Sure. Thanks."
Fraser poured some coffee from the thermos carafe on his desk. He dropped a
sugar cube into it and stirred before handing it to Ray. "I didn't have an
opportunity to buy any of the chocolate candies you like. I hope this will
be sufficient."
"It's fine. Thanks." Ray sipped the delicious drink and sighed in
appreciation. Leave it to Fraser to make perfect coffee when he didn't even
drink the stuff. "So, is this your way of saying you're sorry?"
Fraser pinked up and tugged at his ear. "Is it that transparent?"
"Nobody likes to come right out and admit he was an asshole."
