Date: 2006-06-27 07:35 am (UTC)The argument was poignant and believable. Fraser would fight politely and passive-aggressively--up to the point where he socks you. So it was perfectly executed. The scene where Fraser sobbed was also believable and wrenching, and this is something I'd normally think would be really hard to keep in character, but you did it. It worked. Again, it was great fun, and thanks for sharing it.

Which in my mind really devastates Ray when it happens because Ray's propensity to violence is so automatic that if he hits you, it's not so much a big deal as, well, that's Ray. But when Fraser pops you, it's serious mojo. At least, that's the way I look at it.
Much appreciate the feedback!

Date: 2006-06-27 12:52 pm (UTC)Loved Ray listening with half a brain thing '..eat?', '...date?' - just ..ROFL!!
and
"Isn't it a gorgeous day, Ray?"
"Yeah, something really picturesque about sleet, Frase."
and
"RCWT' which Ray can hardly believe and Fraser is oblivious to - and the similarities you create between Ray and Joanie are just hilarious - and then Ray trying to get through to Fraser about what's really going on.
Love the Ray/Fraser snark - you've really got a handle on it. Also loved Joanie and Clarke as your OC's - wouldn't mind seeing more of them with Ray & Fraser in another story(hint, hint).
There are lots more fave pieces from this story but I'd run out of room:) Just wanted to say how glad I am that you've written another DS fic and hoped you're hooked enough on the boys that you'll be writing some more. 'Cause your stuff is fun and such a pleasure to read. More please:)

Date: 2006-06-28 08:35 am (UTC)Love both your Ray and Fraser voices, and the RCWT *hee!* and the way you managed to show their familiarity with each other (Ray learning to half tune Fraser out, and the "Tells" of Fraser that Ray notices) was just lovely. Plus great last line! *LOL*
