Pimping 'Connotations', a UK con

Hi! This is a kind of public service announcement, aimed mainly at British and European fen:

I thought some of you might like to know that there's a fan-run multi-fandom slasher's con called 'Connotations' that's held in the UK. (In Tynemouth, a small town near Newcastle, in the North of England.) It runs from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th October 2006.

(I'm pimping them because I was sad when 'con_txt'/'out_of_con_txt' finished, consoled myself by looking forward to 'Connotations', and then had a *facepalm* moment when I realised I hadn't mentioned 'Connotations' to anyone else... I dithered for a while before making this post; I'm fairly new to LJ still, and I assume that most people already know about this, but just in case... *g*)

Coming out of lurker mode to second this. I have been every year this con has been going and it is a really great convention which has been getting bigger and better each year.

If you want to get a better idea about it then have a look in the memories for the LJ and read the con reports from previous years.
