Chicago Curling Club, OT?

I'm not sure if this is OT or not, but I found a link today for the Chicago Curling Club, and had the image of Fraser joining, but not letting Ray(K, but either Ray is Good) know he'd joined. Nothing much, really, but it made me giggle.

Also of note for us non-curlers is Curling Basics. Nice intro to the sport with some good animations and explains the stuff that Men with Brooms just didn't manage to! Haha.

I might never have watched the Olympic curling competitions if it were not for Due South, but now I am totally addicted. It's like...chess, on ice, only better because it's very tricky and damn, those guys are fit and um...anyone else notice that all the yelling about "HARDER" and "MORE" and "YES, YESSS!!" is kind of, a little bit...hot? Just me? Okay, then. :::slinks off:::: And someone should definitely write that story.

I must admit...I have not been watching the olympics! *shame**hangshead* But it sounds like I should...

And (if it weren't illegal), I think I'd pay to read about Fraser yelling "Harder!" and "More!" for the world to hear. ;)

BTW: what time are the curling competitions on? I think I'm usually at school(damn evening classes!), but I'd like to catch them, if I can.

Well, I work at home, so I've been able to gorge myself on hockey and curling and speedskating, etc. Curling (both men and women's) is usually on around 8 in the morning and again at 5 in the afternoon. They said the NBC curling online site crashed the other day because of heavy traffic, which is way cool. The USA women's team is out of the medal competition, but the guys are in the thick of it. Usually on either USA or MSNBC networks...I wish it would make prime time! And yes, I also wish someone would write a curling story with Fraser and Ray...mmmmmm
