Hi! Did you know that every year two literary awards, one for a body of work in Children's Literature and the other in Short Stories, is given by the Writers' Trust of Canada in the name of Toronto Librarian VICKY METCALF? And, strange but true, Harlequin Books (Harlequin romances) published a book in 2003 called Her Private Eye, by Shannon Hollis, who claims on her website that the title character was based on our own CALLUM KEITH RENNIE. Hope you're as amused and/or gobsmacked as I was!

Although I must add, it's my impression that a character really based on CKR would never, ever have made it by the Harlequin Thought Police.
