I liked the clips, but not the music. I'm wondering what it is about DS that makes so many of the vidders use country music. I do hope you make more vids though, maybe use a little rock music or something more like what they used on the show.

Not my kind of music, but the vid made me smile. You really did a good job matching the clips up to the lyrics. Also a great job keeping in Ray's pov. There were a couple of places where you needed to speed up the vid that it was a little distracting, but overall, great job :-)

The song is fabulous, isn't it? I heard it in the Village years before DS and was just waiting for the fandom it would fit! Never thought there'd be one that would give me footage for the "confident as a skydiver whose parachute doesn't open" line, though! LOL

Wow. That was a fabulous vid. Perfect song choice - I started out kind of thinking, eh, don't know about this, but I was in awe of the sheer appropriateness of it from about the half minute mark on. ("Ever since I met you we've been tumbling towards distruction." I watched this vid with my Best Beloved, and on that line we both choked and said, "Yeah, that's Ray K and Fraser, all right." And the thing is, the song gets even more appropriate after that.) The clip matching was just - really amazing. And I love the way you matched the movement to the music in certain places. Really, just very well done.

Basically, I love this video an incredible amount.

I'd really love to be able to rec it. So, first - is that okay with you? I do rec vids from time to time, and I try not to do it without the vidder's permission. And, second, if it is - is there a more permanent LJ entry or a web page I could link people to? (For example, a LJ entry that says, "If the link has expired and you want to see the vid, comment here and I'll re-upload it." Or a FileFront/MegaUpload/etc. link.) Because it takes me forever to get a vid recs post together, and obviously this YSI link will be dead by then.

I heard the 5 Chinese Brothers perform that song a year or so before DS went on the air and fell in love with it, but never imagined there would be a fandom that would let me vid it. I mean, what other fandom would give you the footage to cover the line "with all the confidence of a skydiver whose parachute doesn't open"? It's like they wrote the song for Fraser and RayK. LOL
