So, the other day [personal profile] china_shop was saying how much fun it would be to have a tee shirt that say "for reasons that do not need exploring at this juncture" on it. And I thought that sounded like fun. And then I was chatting with [profile] lozenger8, who agreed. So. I thought I'd see if there was interest, and if there was, I'd go ahead and set up a CafePress store where people could get shirts like that. I think that'd fall under fair use, though anyone who knows differently should tell me so! But, anyway. What do you guys think? Good idea? Bad idea? Good idea and you want to help me come up with designs? I am open to all comments. ::grin::

I would so buy a t-shirt that said that on it. And I would wear it with pride. ;)

I'm in... as long as I can get it in a 2XL. And something other than white.

I'd wear it if it had the saying on the back rather than the front. People don't need to read things off my boobs. :D

Hee! I can see your point.

On the other hand, my hair is very long and if it was on the back, nobody would see what it says. Hopefully there'll be two versions, one with the saying on the back and one with it on the front.

The cutest t-shirts I ever saw were for a resturant (the wait staff all wore them) and they had the logo and name on the back of the shirts at the very bottom, so they weren't covered up by anybody's hair.

Oh no. I'm a 'simpler is better' kind of girl too!

HAH... the ds Blooper reel is comedy gold. I've already watched it in excess of 6 times and was thinking about it on the bus home because Cake's version of "I will Survive" came on my mp3 player... all I could think about was Dief/Draco running about.

Too many things to love in 'that scene'... this is what I was talking about when I mentioned allowances being made for intepretations. I view 'that scene' as practically canon :p.

I would love a shirt like that. If you have several people who are interested, you can often get a bulk discount at a t-shirt printers and get better quality and printing than through CafePress.

Where would the files go? I mean, if you're just forwarding them on to CafePress I could email them in myself. :) I'd also need to know what format they need to be in.

Yeah, if you're ready to go with your own designs then don't wait for me. :) I might have time this weekend to work on something but school is keeping me pretty busy. I'll try to reach you through (you)@(lj.com) if I do make something.

that's such a great idea, i'd probably have to get more than one because i'd want to wear it all the time!! :)

Fantastic idea!

I'd wear it if I could get it in the raglan style, fitted style, of girl-figure-oriented t-shirt rather than a one size fits all floppy thing.

I'd get a shirt like that. Yes. Definitely. A red maple leaf on it would also be fun...

I would definitely buy one of those... and wear it all the time :)

I'm ditto on the 'if it comes in babydoll' size. :muses: actually, a maple-leaf would be nice, and possibly in some other colour than white or black?

Count me in.

(I read the thread up there, and I have to say, I'd get one that said "Brace Yourself," too. It could just be in the pocket area on the front, with a maple leaf. Or possible a Stetson.)

I would be interested in one as well.

I would love a t-shirt like that. It would need to come in large mens or a similar size - being I'm a guy and not tiny.

Hmm...I think a phrase like that is fair use - as it's not really spesific to a show (no names, places etc).

Maybe an ink/cartoon-type drawing of a stetson (bw) behind the text, or on the front/back (depending on where the words go, as there's some discusson of that above).

Yeah! The other day I was totally thinking, "I really need a shirt with 'Shake, bad guys, shake' on the front in big-ass lettering," so this idea makes me equally gleeful.

However, I'd really think about some other t-shirt printer: CafePress is pretty notorious for the less-than-great quality of their shirts.

So that would equal a check in the YES YES YES column. :)

Or this...

(front) http://pics.livejournal.com/xtricks/pic/00023qg6

(back) http://pics.livejournal.com/xtricks/pic/00024t3h

and a 'shake bad guys...' shirt would be cool to. Maybe in gray and black.

I'd beg, borrow or steal one.

The maple leaf and/or Stetson idea sounds lovely too.

Also seconding the girl-figure t-shirt option as well.
