news? maybe. more of a question.

So, the other day
china_shop was saying how much fun it would be to have a tee shirt that say "for reasons that do not need exploring at this juncture" on it. And I thought that sounded like fun. And then I was chatting with
lozenger8, who agreed. So. I thought I'd see if there was interest, and if there was, I'd go ahead and set up a CafePress store where people could get shirts like that. I think that'd fall under fair use, though anyone who knows differently should tell me so! But, anyway. What do you guys think? Good idea? Bad idea? Good idea and you want to help me come up with designs? I am open to all comments. ::grin::

Date: 2005-10-07 11:28 am (UTC)Hee! I can see your point.
On the other hand, my hair is very long and if it was on the back, nobody would see what it says. Hopefully there'll be two versions, one with the saying on the back and one with it on the front.

Date: 2005-10-07 05:14 am (UTC)(LOL. I've got some dS sound clips in my iTunes and they're playing as we speak. "A doctor! A fucking doctor did this! Beating people to fucking death all over the place! Medicine butchers!" Man oh man. Paul Gross, I love you.)

Date: 2005-10-07 05:17 am (UTC)HAH... the ds Blooper reel is comedy gold. I've already watched it in excess of 6 times and was thinking about it on the bus home because Cake's version of "I will Survive" came on my mp3 player... all I could think about was Dief/Draco running about.

Date: 2005-10-12 10:42 pm (UTC)I've got some designs sort of worked out, so if you're too busy to do anything, don't worry about it at all. :) But if not I'd be grateful for the help!

Date: 2005-10-07 12:36 pm (UTC)(I read the thread up there, and I have to say, I'd get one that said "Brace Yourself," too. It could just be in the pocket area on the front, with a maple leaf. Or possible a Stetson.)

Date: 2005-10-07 04:44 pm (UTC)Hmm...I think a phrase like that is fair use - as it's not really spesific to a show (no names, places etc).
Maybe an ink/cartoon-type drawing of a stetson (bw) behind the text, or on the front/back (depending on where the words go, as there's some discusson of that above).

Date: 2005-10-07 05:01 pm (UTC)However, I'd really think about some other t-shirt printer: CafePress is pretty notorious for the less-than-great quality of their shirts.
So that would equal a check in the YES YES YES column. :)

Date: 2005-10-09 04:33 am (UTC)Any thoughts about the "other t-shirt printer" thing? I was thinking originally about just going to a local tee-shirt printer, but they're pretty expensive, and also I think coordinating that order would be rather difficult. I found spreadshirt (http://www.spreadshirt.com) online, though, and they seem like CafePress though of better quality.
Not that I expect you to have an opinion on this necessarily but I would just be Very Sad to go to all the effort of getting these shirts and then having them be cheap-o. So.
Also, on a random note--I love your icon!

and a 'shake bad guys...' shirt would be cool to. Maybe in gray and black.

Date: 2005-10-08 06:05 pm (UTC)The maple leaf and/or Stetson idea sounds lovely too.
Also seconding the girl-figure t-shirt option as well.
