New Wilby Wonderful Fic

I'm still kind of feeling my way around Wilby, so this story feels a little awkward. But then, it's about Buddy, and growing up, and yeah, sometimes you feel a little awkward. But sometimes you do things that can fix that.

Held in Trust.
Buddy used to think the island was his.

Thank god it's gen -- almost went too far and wrote het.

What a wonderful story. I love Buddy a lot, and am very happy to see him featured in your fic. I was just thinking this evening that I'd love to read some Buddy fic, but his story felt so complete in the movie that I wasn't sure where fic could go. This backstory was very satisfying. Oh, Buddy fic! There is just not enough fic about him out there.

I'm nodding over here, about the story and the comments. That was a Buddy backstory that I could believe. Your Buddy was a bit awkward as he should be, but the writing was rock solid.

I love this line in particular, it's very Buddy I think, as is the rest of the story. He's not making a fuss about anything.
This story has a lot of personality and a lovely sense of understatedness (if that's a word), like there's a lot of story beneath every sentence. Loved it.
