I noticed a post about the September release of S4 . . . I wouldn't necessarily believe them, but that's just me. :) Anyhow, I have a set of dvds of S4 that were originally ripped from Canadian digital cable. (Sorry, [livejournal.com profile] wistful_fever, they tend to have that bbc logo up in the corner.)

Since I now have this brandy-new dvd burner, I thought maybe there would be other people who can burn dvds and would like to pass them on. The episodes themselves are good quality; they look better on tv than they do on the computer screen, which mystifies me.

Anyone interested?

I would love to be at the end of whatever chain develops for the DVDs as I have no DVD burner. I will gladly provide cash/disks to burn to but unless Henry's computer has DVD-burning capabilities ... hmm, memo, must go look.

Hey, if you actually care, the reason the stuff looks grainy on the computer and not the TV is that computer screens have many more pixels per inch than your average TV screen(that's where the dpi, or dots per inch, come in when you are buying a computer monitor). Here's a really detailed explanation (http://www.dansdata.com/gz029.htm). Basically, the stuff you pull off the TV is never going to look good on the computer. I believe the exception to that rule might be HDTV, but I'm not even positive about that.

If the tv show eps that come from torrents are any indication (I'm thinking Lost right now*g*)- yes.

The PG-L (the Paul Gross list that often gets its info confirmed by Paul himself) is also saying a September release date for S4, so it may actually happen.

I'd be interested! *g* Although, I must confess that my dvd burning capabilities are...limited. (Meaning my burner only occasionally works. :) But I'd be happy to pay for the dvds and the shipping.
