 I have started watching Due South from season 3. Here are my thoughts about the episodes

I am curious to know about your decision to watch the RayK seasons first and then watch the RayV seasons after. I know of other fen who have done it that way too, so this isn't like I'm singling you out -- I always ask this of fen who watch it in this order.

I saw the fan remastered version of Burning down the House on YouTube and decided to try it. It was very good, so I decided to continue. I heard that Due South was episodic, so I thought I should be fine this way before returning to the Ray V era.

Thanks for sharing your episode thoughts - always fun to see a favorite show through a fresh pair of eyes! I started from S3/4 myself, but fell so in love with Fraser's character that, after finishing Call of the Wild, I went immediately back to the pilot and watched the entire show from beginning to end. (I now see it took some dedication: all I had were really blurry YouTube vids with a lot of the music tracks muted - which I didn't even realize until much later when I bought the DVDs. I envy you, getting the HD experience right from the start!)
