This story is so good, so moving and so well-written, and I am so totally in awe of the talent and skill that created it. I just wish I could find words that would do a better job of expressing my thanks. It rings so true to write that they would have been just like this as teenagers; Duck's integrity and sources of happiness and unhappiness, Buddy's mixed-up mess of generosity with callous self-absorption, Sandra's mixed-up layers of clear-sightedness with deluded optimism. Damn, you're good. Thank you. More, more! (insatiable).
