So I've read this twice now and it shredded me into tiny little bits both times, and I see Ces didn't post a notice over here, and in the spirit of fandom that says, hey, if I'm utterly wrecked by this, you should be, too, I'm suggesting y'all go read The Lights, by cesperanza, because it does have SCOPE, and also layers and meanings and heartbreak and joy and joie de fuck you defiance, and I'm babbling now and embarrassing myself all over the place but, y'know, go read it.

Oh she's just pretty damn blindingly brilliant - again!!!. Thank you so much for reccing this, it's a real tour de force. Refusing to hide, in the end, refusing to be forced into living a lie - how perfectly Duck speaks to this thread in Speranza's writing. Not to mention a level of hotness only achievable with real emotional depth on the part of really 3D characters. Chapeau!
Wish I could be at the Manchester film festival tomorrow! Wish they would show the film in my burg! Damn damn damn.

God, yes--isn't it wonderful? When Duck thinks about balancing blow jobs and peripheral vision?--god, something inside me just tears. Sex, with fear in the corner of your eye. I am overwhelmed by this story.
