Crossposting from
zelempa: this is a roundup of Due South related art (and in fact mostly Due South fanfic related art) I've done in the last few months, for a comic book inking class.

Page 1 (ink wash)

First confrontation scene page 1: draft 1 (pen and limited ink wash)

First confrontation scene complete (pen and brush)

ETA: Before I forget: now that class is over and I won't be getting any more critiques, should I want to continue any of these projects (or something similar), would anybody be willing and able to be an art beta? Basically, you would look at my pencilled versions of the comics and tell me, "Too many close-ups, I don't remember where in space they ARE" or "Too rushed--put fewer words in each panel," or "That doesn't look like Ray," or "That doesn't look like a human hand," or "I don't understand what's happening right here," or anything else that you think can be fixed, before I commit anything to ink. Let me know!

Date: 2010-08-03 11:04 am (UTC)I like page 1 of Chicago's Most Wanted with the limited wash and American Way the best, mostly because they are both full of so much great detail. There is so much to look at. I love seeing the GTO, among other details.
Also a huge, huge, HAPPY special GUH, OMG MOAR PLZ for your HCL picture. I love that shot of Billy so much, and there just can never ever be enough HCL art and fic in the world for me. I just adore this. What I would give for you to make a companion piece for this...Joe and Billy in the bar being interviewed, when they are leaning together...the whole I suffer for his art conversation. Or, if you prefer Billy without sunglasses, how about in the beginning when Joe has Billy by the shirtfront and says "I am taking him." :)
Thank you so much for doing this and sharing them with us! SO MUCH GLEE over here.
