Oh, Dief! That was harrowing, really it was. And the last bit, where Fraser's writing notes to himself because he keeps forgetting things? Ow. Just ... ow.

This is still so good. And thanks for getting back to Dief; as I'd mentioned before, I've been very worried because "dead or severely injured" seemed the only explanations for his continued absence.

How well you show real heroism in human frailty. Fraser keeping notes when even his mind seems to be failing him, Ray persevering and finding Dief even without superpowers and neither with any real hope or expectation of getting what they need let alone what they want. You show them as so richly deserving - of love, of each other. Waiting with bated breath ....
