Hi. I'm kind of nervous here. Anyone for casefic with a side of romance and due South weirdness?
Episodic Romance
(Fraser/Kowalski R 70,000 words
Film students, dead gangsters, becoming Ray Vecchio, Old Chicago, and familiar faces
Also: formatted into sections for reading sanity)
Some people will know that I wrote this for the Red Ships, Green Ships e-zine. So, ultimately, you have
yeungmaisu to thank for commissioning this (as if I could not thank her enough). It's now timed out, so it is available from my site for your reading pleasure.
I have a whole bunch of folks who need thanks for this:
torakowalski,
shadowkitty,
papajoemambo,
j_s_cavalcante, most of my f-list and a whole bunch of friendly fandom people with help, support, and knowledge. ♥ ♥ ♥
Anyone or anything I've missed, that's my fault.

BTW, last week someone was describing some weird amusement park in the Midwest, and I was all, Oh, like Old Chicago? They didn't know what that was, and I was explaining. I'd researched it, because of your story. Anyway, it's so cool that you've worked more on this and published the updated version. What an accomplishment! Brava!!!!!! *celebrates*

Well, I do love research and fangirl who research are one of my favouritest things. Old Chicage was this whole slightly weird business model going for it. And the details (even in the decaying pictures) were really wonderful; it has that air, that feeling that for the guy at the top it was building his dream.
I'm kind of embarrassed because I don't think I have worked on it that much, though you might put that down to nerves and being pretty focussed on the new writing thing (with musician!Ray et al).
