There are a lot of writers and artists in our fandom - it dawned on me that it would be good to have a place where we can all get together and brainstorm, bounce ideas, feed our bunnies.

Do you have a story half done? A painting unfinished? Don't abandon those bunnies, or leave your stories waiting for an ending. Bring them here! We will cheer you on, adopt orphaned bunnies, help with fic finishing, and go 'ooh! Shiny!' when all is done.

Rec lists, fanvids, meta, podfics, playlists, manips, recipes, knits - the dozens of things I haven't thought about but you have. Bring them here so we can all share in the joy! (Yes, I sound like a crazed evangelist. Join us anyway.)

So, anything and everything creative and due South/6 Degrees in its fannishness will be welcomed here with open arms.

Hi, I'm looking for fellow Italian Due South fans.
To commiserate, if nothing else. :D
You see, me and my brother used to watch the show together and I thought of purchasing the DVD's as a gift for him but can you believe there isn't an edition of the Italian dubbed version available on DVD, only a VHS one?
As for myself, I'd have no problem doing a rewatch in the original English (in fact, I may just do it, one of these days) but I can't very well re-watch it with my brother that way!
And I don't have a VHS recorder any more so that's out of the question. Anyway, I kind of hate the concept of having to resort again to VHS's, you know? I thought that period of my life was over. :D
It's just so frustrating! I mean, for once in my life that I was prepared to fork over some actual money instead of resorting to somewhat less legit ways... *shakes head*
Talking about less legit ways, technically there are some digital files going around the Internet of the Italian edition, only they're obviously converted from VHS and the audio is terrible. Plus, they're kind of hard to find, maybe because the series is so old.
Sigh, all this makes me kind of feel like me are my brother and the only ones left still enjoying that show here in Italy. Even if, logically, I know there have to be several fellow Italian fans around. If nothing else, I'm sure Italian tv didn't do all those re-runs for nothing LOL. Which is why I'm making this post (as per

ride_4ever's kind suggestion over at

sholio's Ray Vecchio Squee Party) .
So... is anyone here in the same boat as me? ;)

Hey there! Did you want to participate in this year's Big Bang but miss the sign ups? If so, you're in luck, because we have some works that are in need of complements. link to the prompts post At this time, 1,3 and 4 are available to claim.

Here's a link to rules and faq if you would like more details, and below is the basic guidelines.

Guidelines for Complementary pieces:

Fic
Fic must be at least 2,000 words. (note, you can do a writing complement for a fic, as long as the format is different, like epistolary writing or poetry for fic).

Art
Art must be at least one piece, again any medium. If you want to do icons, a minimum of 20 icons must be submitted.

Vids
1.5 minutes at the minimum.

Due date is October 5, 2015. If you claim a piece and weren't on the original sign-up list, please pm me with your email address, so that I can send you what you'll need to work on your complement.

This will be a transitional year for the due South Seekrit Santa. Longtime mod

mergatrude will not be modding (TYK, merg, for all you've done for this fandom for so many years) and I will only be available sporadically because I'm going to Canada late November through early December and can't be sure of my online time while travelling.

For there to be a dSSS in 2015 we need some new additions to the dSSS mod team. If you want to be one of those new additions, comment here or email me (naive_savant at Hotmail dot com).

Older_Not_Dead : Love for the Over-40's has opened their August Promptathon. It's a multifandom challenge to create fanworks where the pairing is 40 or older even if in canon they are younger. The theme is "remember when". The dSC6D fandoms in the August Promptathon are posted as follows :

malnpudl for getting the conversation started. Meanwhile, it's given me the kick in the butt I needed to finally make this post I'd been planning...

We haven't seen any action over at the C6D Prompt Meme for a while, but there are 140 tempting prompts in a spread of dS/C6D fandoms, just waiting for you to fill them... Come on in, the water's fine!

(And don't forget the Left Hand of Franklin collection, for all those fanworks relating to last year's finding of one of one of the ships of the Franklin Expedition.)
