I was gung-ho Christmas well before discovering Henry. I used to wish people Merry Christmas in the summer because it was such a happiness making greeting. Mother's gifts to me were often ornaments and I used to put up a Christmas tree on the back porch, where it could stay up and not dry out well into April. We ended up with so many ornaments we started putting up multiple trees. My neighbors used to give tours of the back yard so they could show off our Christmas tree in the spring. And we keep our lights up till March or April, or until the squirrels eat through all the cords.
So discovering Henry just felt so right. I can't tell you how sorry I am that mother isn't here to tell.
I had COMPLETELY forgotten that episode, then Colleen emailed me about it and I watched it yesterday. Absolutely inspiring. What wonderful smiles Benny can get out of Ray.

A very Happy Christmas to you, too.
