Snippet:
″Ezra gave me a good option. I can mail it to his address. That way he’ll have them to give to us once they arrive. It’s either that or have them posted in care of the depot.″
Ray lifted an eyebrow. What the fuck? ″Ezra?″
″Staff Sergeant Crow.″
″I know who he is, Ben. How did he suddenly go from Staff Sergeant Crow to Ezra. Sounds awfully chummy for a guy you’ve never even met.″
Ben cocked his head slightly to the right and studied him. Suddenly very serious, he asked, ″Ray, are you jealous?″
Ray scoffed and tried to play it off. ″Of course not, but you’ve never even met the guy. Isn’t it against the Mountie rules to call a superior officer by his first name?″
″Ray, Ray, Ray...″
″Cut it out. I know my own name.″
