″Where do you think you’re going so early, Kid?″

Bo pulled on his wool beanie and gloves. ″Aggie wants me to come over this morning. She’s going to teach me how to make her apple crisp cake.″

Ray dried his hands and then folded the kitchen towel before hanging it on the rack. ″Yeah? When did she tell you that?″

″Last weekend. She said she’d give me the recipe. I’m hoping I can make one for my birthday cake.″

″What if you’re already getting another birthday cake?″

″Then I’ll have two. Is is okay if I go?″

″Now you bother to ask?″

″Sorry, Ray, but can I go? Please!″

Ray grinned at the boy’s enthusiasm. ″Sure, but take Grady and the wolf with you for protection.″

″Sure thing.″

″How long do you think it’ll be?″

″A couple of hours at least. You can always call Aggie and check up on me.″

Ray teased. ″Don’t think I won’t.″

Bo giggled and then ran out the door with Grady and Dief right behind him. They were both no doubt dreaming of doggie treats Aggie would give them. ″Later, Ray.″

″Later, Kid.″

As soon as the door slammed shut, Fraser came out of the bathroom, his hair wet and slicked back. ″Where’s Bo going?″

″Aggie’s going to teach him how to bake her apple crisp cake.″

″That sounds ambitious.″

″Sounds like a good thing for us. I’ve never met a kid who likes to cook and bake like he does.″

″He does seem to have a talent for it.″

″He does.″ Ray crossed his arms and leaned back against the counter of the kitchen taking in the view. Bare-chested, still damp from the shower, Fraser looked fucking tasty. ″Now that we’re alone, you want to take advantage of your partner while we have time?″

Fraser cocked his head and smirked. ″I just showered.″

″Doesn’t mean you can’t shower again. In fact, seems to me we could both shower at the same time.″

Fraser stepped closer, his voice suddenly husky. ″We could or we could do something completely different, something I think you might enjoy even more.″

As Fraser hooked the back of Ray’s neck, he drew him into a deep kiss. Ray moaned and his cock decided to take notice. Before he could really get going, Ray’s phone rang. Pulling back with a groan, he complained. ″Fuck.″

″If only.″ Fraser stepped away and picked up Ray’s ringing phone. He handed it over. ″It’s your mother.″

″Of course it is. She always did have lousy timing.″ Ray opened the line. ″Hey, Mum.″
