I followed a trail of meta to Speranza's Chicago's Most Wanted (http://archiveofourown.org/works/241899), which may be the most ridiculous way EVER to be introduced to a new fandom, with Fraser having no idea who he is, or about the policeman Ray, who is Ray, but is not Ray, might be, but there you are.
