20th Anniversary Shindig!

ds_noticeboardHello, all! It is two short months until the 20th anniversary of the first airing of the Due South pilot, so let's get started with the party-planning! Community festivities will begin APRIL 23!
1. We'll have a special AO3 collection for posting works for the anniversary! If you have long-languishing Due South WIPs squirreled away, this would be an awesome occasion for finishing them! \o/
2+. The rest of the party will be more socially-oriented, and this is where we need volunteers to host stuff! Some ideas so far: DS social, picspam post, reccing party, 20 years later retrospective (aka what are the actors doing now?), meta party (what still works vs. what is cringe-worthy to rewatch from a 2014 perspective? Or, reimagine all characters as superheroes: what are their powers? Etc, etc, etc.), a Favorite/Sweetest/Hottest Moments from DS canon post, a Favorite/Sweetest/Hottest Moments from DS *fandom* post, a viewing party, fandom games, a prompt-meme fill party, etc. More ideas are welcome, especially if you're willing to host the thing you're suggesting. Note: please don't throw a ton of ideas at me and expect me to magically make them happen; this is a group effort, as all the best parties are. So! If you can help (whether solo or pending additional helpers), comment below with your email address and I'll put you on the planning list. Then we'll talk, sort out what each person (or team!) will be doing, everyone will do their bit, and we'll all have a great time! Yay! \o/
Please be aware that this is going to begin on Wednesday, April 23, so don't volunteer to run something if you know you won't be around! (You must be around at least SOME.) Also, if there is a viewing party, that will need to have a relatively firm schedule, but if it's prepped ahead of time, it should work. Which is why I'm posting this 2 months beforehand. Okay? Okay!
