I'm always happy when I see a new story with your name on it, but this one hits a whole lot of needs I didn't know I had (or perhaps just have gotten really good at ignoring): not just a perfectly devised jewel of the first time sort (with vivid, 3D high def characterization), but an insightful panorama of adapting/accepting/working around the whole damned getting older thing.
