Fannish question...

How do writers feel about someone who saves their stories, puts them into a archive file and posts it on their LiveJournal, encouraging others to download and share? Most of them seem to be stripped from websites (I recognize the layout of the new due Slash) and have their headers intact, but at least one story that I checked does not. They are mostly the classic stories from authors like kelliem, aukestrel, resonant8, bethbethbeth, cesperanza and others. Over 200 of 'em.

Is this kosher? I've never run across this before and don't know what the accepted rule is in fandom.
