On Saturday 7 pm GMT, seascribe and I are going to meet up on Skype to watch either a couple of due South episodes, or the Steve McQueen movie Bullitt. We haven't quite decided yet. And I know the latter isn't C6D or anything, but I do consider it due South-related anyway, since Ray K canonically had a thing for Steve McQueen. : )

And we have to watch the Thomas Crown Affair (hang on, my brain's really not working today, is that what it's called?) If only for the chess. (Sorry, we are big chess nerds in our house. Seriously, when I was a girl I wanted to marry Gary Kasparov, and kill Kasporov horribly, to prove my eternal devotion.) My son once placed third in the national divisions for his age range. (He was nine, the kids who beat him had a LOT of money, one of them went to a private school that specialised in chess, one had an international master as his private tutor. My son just read a lot of books, and played chess with me and his step Dad.) I always remember the look on his face when he was nine, and beat an international master. (I remember the look on the guy's face as well. Turns out he did know one word in English... 'fuck.')

And... here, in case you're interested, is Gary Kasparov as he looks now. It is unfeasible that the man is still sexy, even while being beaten up by the cops, grey haired, and getting on in years. I've fancied him for what... three decades now? You think he'd have the decency to just STOP being sex on a stick.

Actually... he's not getting that much on in years. It's just that on telly in the UK a man of his age with grey hair would dye it, or never ever be seen again. But you do have to admit, he's bloody stonking.

He's an arrogant ass,but then if you were as clever as him it would be hard to resist the temptation. Besides which, politically, he's right.
