The true cost of oil: Garth Lenz @ TEDxVictoria

I just watched this.  It seemed like something Fraser would be interested in.

I've read a lot of fics where pipeline workers are mentioned, and many fics also mention Fraser's passion about the environment and First Nations rights, and I've also read quite a few F/K futurefics (which would be now 2012).  I'm afraid I don't know too much about any of this.  The only thing I know is that Canada is the biggest supplier of oil to the U.S. and that unfortunately, much of it is locked in the tar sands.  Just to be clear, I am not advocating one way or another.  Watching this, esp. the photos, made me think of Due South, and I thought I might share. :)

(Is there a better place to post this, or is this okay?)

Disclaimer: due South and its characters belong to Alliance/Atlantis, the Pauls, and their respective actors, apart from Ramona and Winston, who are my own invention.

Author's Note: This is a long time coming, I'm afraid. It's a charity fic for [livejournal.com profile] podfic_lover's very generous donation to the Queensland Flood Relief auction. Whiiich was over a year ago. >_> I'm so sorry. Kindly beta-read by [livejournal.com profile] yuri_shoujo, slayer of adverbs.
