Seriously, when I was a girl I wanted to marry Gary Kasparov, and kill Kasporov horribly, to prove my eternal devotion.) My son once placed third in the national divisions for his age range. (He was nine, the kids who beat him had a LOT of money, one of them went to a private school that specialised in chess, one had an international master as his private tutor. My son just read a lot of books, and played chess with me and his step Dad.) I always remember the look on his face when he was nine, and beat an international master.
